How you doin ?
First of all, a very Happy Holi to all of you. Holi is the festival of colours and also the first festival of season which brings the sweet smell of spring 🩵 While I won't be celebrating Holi this year due to personal reasons, I know many of you will be! For those looking to relax and stay in, here's a thread with 5 awesome evergreen Netflix shows you can binge-watch to celebrate your Holi-days! So without further ado let's get started
1. FRIENDS :
FRIENDS is a 90's Comedy TV show, based in Manhattan. It's about 6 friends who go through every life experience imaginable together; Love, Marriage, Divorce, Children, Heartbreak, Fights, New Jobs, Job losses and all sorts of drama. The show starts off with each character in their 20's, and expands over a 10 year period, as each character tries to find happiness, success and what the true meaning of a "friend" really is. The 6 famous characters of the show are Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Monica Geller, Ross Geller, Joey Tribbiani (My favourite) and Chandler Bing (The King of Sarcasm).
For me, FRIENDS is not just a TV show, it's an Emotion. You'll find yourself constantly getting attached to it. The best thing about FRIENDS is that the more you see it, the more you'll love it and that's why it's on the first number of my list. So if you haven't watched FRIENDS yet, I strongly recommend you to go for it
Breaking Bad is an American neo-Western crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The show aired on AMC from January 20, 2008, to September 29, 2013, consisting of five seasons for a total of 62 episodes. It was set and filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and tells the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), an underpaid, overqualified, and dispirited high school chemistry teacher who is struggling with a recent diagnosis of stage-three lung cancer. The story takes a twist when Walter starts manufacturing and selling methamphetamine (an addictive stimulant Drug) in order to secure his family's future.2. Breaking Bad :
If you haven't watched Breaking Bad, it is nearly impossible to explain why this show is so special and kept on such a high pedestal but if you're a fan of this genre, I strongly recommend you to give it a shot. Trust me, you won't regret it !
3. House Of Cards :
House of Cards is an American political thriller television series created by Beau Willimon. It is an adaptation of the 1990 BBC series of the same name and based on the 1989 novel of the same name written by Michael Dobbs. It's an original Netflix american drama which focuses on the story of Frank Underwood and his wife Claire who have high ambitions for themselves and how Frank Underwood manipulates all the Congressmen and High profile people to become the President of the United States of America from the whip. The role of Frank Underwood is played by Kevin Spacey who is a renowned actor and his delivery of dialogues, personality and voice overs will make you fall in love with him.
4. Vikings :
Vikings is a historical drama television series created and written by Michael Hirst for the History channel, a Canadian network. The show portrays Ragnar Lothbrok as a farmer who rises to fame by raiding England and eventually becomes a Scandinavian king, with the support of his family and fellow warriors. In the later seasons, the series follows the fortunes of his sons and their adventures in England, Scandinavia, Kievan Rus', the Mediterranean and North America.
Along with the intense suspense and drama you get to know various things about Viking culture. Viking is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It has such a brilliant mixture of Gods, family values, betrayal, and relationships. The actors have given complete justice to the legendary roles that they are into. Overall, I strongly recommend you to watch this masterpiece. The character arc, background music, and all the emotional scenes will steal your heart.
5. Gotham :
Gotham is an American superhero crime drama television series developed by Bruno Heller, produced by Warner Bros. Television and based on characters from the Batman mythos in comic books published by DC Comics. The series focuses on the early life of James Gordon as a fresh detective in GCPD who tries to understand the network responsible for organized crime in his city. It is so interesting to watch the beginning of what made Bruce Wayne's childhood, How Gotham actually was, and what led to the death of Bruce Wayne's parents.
I truly enjoyed watching Gotham because unlike other Batman content, this show wasn’t entirely based around Bruce Wayne and was more focused on Gotham, as a city!
