BSNL Faces Huge Data Breach.
BSNL company has said that they had to face a huge data breach in the recent past. A large amount of company data has been stolen. According to the company's report, their server has been attacked by a hacker on the company's website. Hackers now have access to SIM card details, home location register data and important security keys related to the server. It is said that the stolen data can be misused to carry out criminal activities like SIM card cloning, identity theft, and even extortion. The person who stole the data has allegedly violated the company's rules. News18 team reported that the threat actor behind the cyber attack goes by the name “Cyberphantom”. This appears to be the dark web forum username of the hacker. This cannot be confirmed. There is no confirmation yet that the data breach was carried out by an individual or group of hackers.
