News update, Google Maps Prepares for a Redesigned Interface as Testing Begins on Android.

I am back with another news update and it is linked to Google Map.
Google Maps on Android is prepping for a potential full rollout of a redesigned interface with some key refinements based on user feedback. The revamped design offers a smoother navigation experience by placing the map at the forefront. Many of the formerly fullscreen information panels have been replaced with smaller, translucent windows. This allows users to see a portion of the map in the background while browsing details, providing crucial context. The corners of these info windows now sport a more rounded look, and closing or sharing information is simplified with readily accessible buttons.
The origin and the destination fields now float to the top of the map itself.
Another notable change is the way directions are handled. The origin and destination fields now gracefully float on top of the map itself, while transportation mode options have been relocated to the bottom of the screen. This translates to a more map-centric experience.
Google hasn’t officially announced the launch, but the design’s extended testing period suggests a wider rollout is imminent. The update is delivered server-side, so updating the app itself won’t necessarily trigger the new look. Given the months spent in testing, it’s likely that everyone will be navigating with the revamped Google Maps soon. We can also expect a similar visual refresh for Google Maps on iOS in the future.
