This is Tej, your tech geek, back with a topic which is in the trend since it has got its igniting spark from the pandemic times. Can you make any random guesses? Yes, it is about the Fusion of Education in Tech. During the pandemic times, it was only because of Tech that education was the least affected. But in how many ways were Education & Tech infused with each other? Let's discuss them…
Document Making Apps
There are many document making apps like Microsoft Word & Google Docs in which the students made their personalized notes. These notes helped them get a quick revision during the pre-time of exams, in just a glance. Also, these personalized notes help them to memorize the concepts in a much easier way than the notes provided by the teacher. Also, it is paperless, so environment friendly as well, right?
Language Learning apps
Want to go abroad, but don't know the native language of that specific country? Duolingo is the key! With the rise of ed-tech companies, Duolingo came up with a different app which solved the linguistic problem of many people!
Graphics & Animations — Way to More Interactive Education
With the increasing interference of technology in education, there were many ed-tech companies coming up. Many of them became unicorns as well! We can take examples of Byju’s, Physics Wallah, Unacademy and many such companies. They provided education to the students both in audio visual mode, with many interactive graphics and real-life examples presented in an animation way, which helped students to remember concepts for life!
Zoom, Google Meet & Microsoft Teams
These apps were like a bridge between teachers and students. It kept them connected virtually & helped teachers provide flawless education to their students, by giving a medium which helped them stay connected face-to-face. Nowadays, even certain office meetings are also held through these apps, making it suitable for everyone to show their presence remotely.
A Friend in Need!
Technology has become a man's friend in so many fields, and so is in education. Whenever any student gets puzzled about any math problem, there are apps like Doubtnut, Socratic & Photomath, which are ready to help them! Google becomes the savior for the students who are puzzled by some General Knowledge questions! Also, an app named Brainly is there for students in which students themselves can answer the doubts of their fellow students, which becomes a very much connective way for students to clear their doubts!
Final Note
In the end, I myself being a student would say that technology really helped many students getting quality education, but parallel to it, it also made many students addicted to screens. It adversely affected the eyesight of students. Moreover, many students also misused the facility, which was not at all a feasible thing. But it's a fact that both pros and cons run parallel to each other, and so was this! Hope you liked connecting to me in the discussion about the Fusion of Tech in Education. Let's continue the discussion in the comments.
