HONOR Magic 6 Pro Highlights: Let's Dive Into the Flagship Series Featuring Innovation

We all are aware of the launch of HONOR Magic 6 Pro in MWC 2024. Although the India launch is not yet confirmed despite a hinted Twitter post from the CEO Madhav Seth, there are chances of its India debut.
If it gets launched in India and I manage to obtain a unit, I'll definitely share several articles about it, including an in-depth review, here on Magic Nation. Today I am sharing the highlights, I hope you will learn about many things through this article. Let's start with the innovative battery tech.
The device is packed with a massive 5600 mAh battery and features a built-in HONOR E1 Power Enhanced Chip. The innovative part is that it is a HONOR 2nd Gen Carbon-Silicon battery instead of conventional Lithium-ion. Carbon-silicon batteries are known for their higher energy density, faster-charging capabilities, and longer battery lifespan. The phone supports 80W Wired and up to 66W Wireless charging. These all combined promise a longer battery life with faster charging capabilities. Hence addresses the issue of a shorter battery backup and longer charging times often associated with flagship devices.
HONOR with Magic 6 Pro provides an ultra flagship-level camera setup with intelligent AI capabilities. It packs a 50MP + 50MP + 180MP tripper rear camera and a 50MP + ToF front camera setup.Camera

- 50MP Wide Main Camera with OIS, a self-adjusting aperture of f/1.4 - f/2.0, and a 1/1.3-inch Ultra-Large Sensor
- 50MP Ultra Wide Camera (f/2.0) with 2.5cm HD Macro photography support
- 180MP Periscope Telephoto Camera (f/2.6) with OIS, 2.5x Optical Zoom, and 100x Digital Zoom ensuring preserved clearer details even after zooming in.
Front:
- 50MP Front Camera(f/2.0)
- 3D ToF Depth-Sensing Camera
These all combined took the camera experience and output to a whole new level. I am impressed with the implementation of the ToF camera on the front that enables a secure 3D Face unlock and will help with many other features. 180MP Periscope Telephoto camera is also the first time in the smartphone industry. On paper, the flagship combination seems beast and will provide an excellent output in different scenarios.
With a rounded corners design on the display, it boasts a 6.8-inch, 1.5K resolution, Quad-Curved, 10-bit OLED display. It's an LTPO display with an Adaptive Dynamic Refresh Rate support from 1Hz to 120Hz aiding in better power efficiency.Display, Design and Build
The display is HDR and Dolby Vision-certified, features a 4320Hz PWM Flicker Free Dimming and offers a pixel density of 453PPI. It's also a super bright display with an all-screen Peak Brightness of 1600 nits and HDR Peak Brightness of 5000 nits. This super sharp and quad-curved floating flagship display promises a premium user experience.
The display is protected with a HONOR NanoCrystal Shield protection which is 10 times more drop resistance, ensuring worry-free drops. The device possesses a Metal frame and is available in two distinct colors; i.e. Epi Green with Eco Leather back panel and Black with a premium matt finish Glass back. Have a thickness of 8.9mm, weighs 229 grams, and is IP68 dust/water resistant.
The Magic 6 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Soc, built on a 4nm fabrication process to provide a flagship performance. It is available in 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage variants and has an Adreno 750 GPU.Performance

- 3 × Cortex A720 @ 3.2GHz

This device is equipped with a few more Enhanced Chipsets to take the flagship performance and experience to a whole new level:
- RF Enhanced Chip HONOR C1+ - HONOR C1+ RF Enhanced Chip combines algorithm and antenna for better connection, allowing to roam the world with powerful hardware and software features. It aims to provide the best connectivity even in areas with low network availability.
- Discrete Security Chip S1 - HONOR Discrete Security Chip S1 features the dual-TEE, ensuring all-around protection for your privacy. It's a hardware-level protection for your most valuable data.
- Power Enhanced Chip HONOR E1 - The Second-generation Silicon-carbon Battery is powered by the Power Enhanced Chip HONOR E1, offering advanced power management.
Out of the box Magic 6 Pro has MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. This time the MagicOS 8 is equipped with lots of AI features like HONOR AI Motion Sensing Capture, AI Privacy Call, etc. MagicOS 8 has a lot more interesting features to provide you with a premium user experience. Magic 6 Pro 5G comes with Dual Nano SIM support or one e-sim and one nano SIM card. Yes, it does support E-SIM. It has all the connectivity features like NFC, Wi-Fi 7 with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, IR Blaster, OTG, VoLTE, VoWIfI, VoNR, Operator video calling, and Type-C USB 3.2 port.Connectivity and Sensors
All the sensors including Proximity, Gravity, Gyroscope, Compass, and Ambient Light Sensors are available.
