With a software update being rolled out to select Indian Beta Trails members, WhatsApp is now opening the gates to their Llama-powered Meta AI. With every major tech giant racing to integrate as much AI as possible in their services, AI models have seen rapid developments. Accessible within WhatsApp, Meta AI is capable enough to generate images apart from having small chit-chats with you.
I am sure all of you might already be familiar with the concept of Metaverse, but have experienced one such? Well if the answer is no, then this news is for you. India Metaverse Research and Metaverse 911 have jointly established a Metaverse experience center in Noida. Offering some of the premium devices such as Apple Vision Pro, Oculus Quest 2 and 3, the HTC Vive Focus 5K, Vuzix Smart Glasses, Pico VR Headset, and Microsoft HoloLens as well as high-end simulators, this center can provide with you experiences never encountered before.
Boston Dyamnic, one of the major players in robotics industry have recently announced the retirement of their hydraulic humanoid robot: Atlas. While the reason of the discontinuation isn't disclosed by Boston Dynamics, gusses are being made that Atlas retirement marks the beginning of something big. Well if the rumours are true soon we can expect some big announcements from them. Since Hyundai accquried them back in 2021 they have made rapid progress in on commercializing technologies established as one of the key players in Robotics.
Next on the list, we have a powerful headline from chipmaker AMD. As the race to conquer AI is rapidly advancing major chip manufacturers like Intel, AMD, and Nvidia are focusing more on integrating AI at the chip level giving birth to AI PCs. In a recent announcement, AMD announced their lineup of professional-oriented processors Ryzen Pro 8040 series & Ryzen Pro 8000 series. While the 8040 series is solely for the laptop they have kept the 8000 series desktop specific. Built on advanced 4-nanometer technology AMD claims them to be the most powerful for business PCs. Last headline on the list comes straight away from Google Maps. One of the most commonly used navigation apps, Google Maps now supports 3D building while navigating through the landscape. In my view, this update could have been brought to make the navigation experience for realistic. These small & little upgrades are the ones that overall contribute together in making the user experience furthermore convenient.
