Imagine blasting off on a train journey, not just across continents, but across celestial bodies! This is the ambitious vision behind Japan's Hexatrack system, a proposed interplanetary transportation network.
The brainchild of researchers at Kyoto University and Kajima Construction, Hexatrack aims to tackle the challenge of long-duration space travel by incorporating artificial gravity. Passengers would travel in hexagonal capsules called "Hexacapsules" equipped with a rotating central compartment that simulates Earth's gravity (1G), mitigating the negative health effects of prolonged exposure to low gravity environments.
The system would encompass a network of tracks connecting stations on Earth, the Moon (Lunar Station), and Mars (Mars Station, envisioned to be on Phobos, a Martian moon). While the concept is currently in its early stages, it has sparked excitement about the possibility of more accessible and comfortable space travel in the future.

Don't you think it's exciting? It's still a concept but if it is possible, it could be revolutionary. Would you travel in this if you ever had a chance?
