Water, water, everywhere, but not a drop to spare? That's the reality for many Indians. With a growing population and changing climate, water scarcity is a serious issue. I myself, staying in Bengaluru where currently a looming water crisis is going on and it doesn't stop just at Bengaluru. Major cities and hubs like Mumbai, Chennai etc. are all facing water shortages. No rains from the past few months has added to the worry, causing ground water levels to recede.

You might think as a normal citizen what can I do about such a huge water shortage. But nothing is never too small and every drop counts!

Here's how you can be a water warrior:
  • Brush hero: Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth. Those extra minutes can waste gallons!
  • Shower power: Shorten your showers by a few minutes. Every minute saved is a bucket of water preserved!
  • Fix that leak: A leaky faucet can drip away hundreds of liters of water every month. Get it fixed ASAP!
  • Washing woes: Wash only full loads of laundry and dishes. Why waste water on half-empty loads?
  • Reuse and recycle: Collect rainwater for watering plants. Give your houseplants a drink instead of using tap water!
By making these simple changes, you'll be surprised at how much water you can save.
