DID YOU KNOW?
BANANAS ARE RADIOACTIVE AND CONTAINS POTASIUM 40
Bananas are indeed naturally radioactive due to potassium-40, a rare and unstable form of potassium. This isotope emits a small amount of radiation as it decays, which is actually a normal part of the environment.
Many foods contain potassium, so they all contribute a tiny bit to your daily radiation dose.
However the radiation level in bananas is extremely low, so eating them is perfectly safe and doesn’t pose any health risks.
In fact bananas are a great source of potassium, essential for muscle function, nerve transmission and heart health.
Did you know that this phenomenon has even led to a unit of measurement called the "banana equivalent dose" to help people understand low levels of radiation exposure ?
So here is a quetion for you all
How many bananas do you think it would take to equal the radiation dose of a chest X-ray ?
Looking forward to seeing you soon in another thread
Until Then,
Merci Au Revoir
