Soon, you’ll be able to access the entire Game Pass library and manage your memberships directly within the Xbox mobile app. Game Pass Ultimate members will also be able to claim perks through this updated app.Microsoft is planning to combine its Xbox Game Pass and Xbox mobile apps into a single application soon. The software maker is testing a new version of the Xbox app for iOS and Android this week that includes features from the separate Xbox Game Pass app.
According to a Microsoft blog post, “These updates will first roll out to Xbox beta members on mobile and will be available to everyone shortly.” Additionally, new downloads of the Xbox Game Pass app will no longer be supported starting in November.
Additionally, Microsoft is rolling out a new compact mode for the Game Bar for all PC players today, along with enhancements to the Xbox app on PC that will help save download space. Xbox console owners will also benefit from immediate access to games once updates go live, eliminating the need to wait for downloads.These mobile Game Pass updates follow the recent launch of Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass Standard tier, which offers console multiplayer access for $14.99 per month. Announced in July, this new tier also came with price hikes for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
