Google Photos introduces new AI-powered video editing tools: Here's what's new

Both Android and iOS will receive AI-powered video presets that enable one-tap adjustments, such as automatic video trimming, speed control, and lighting correction. These presets can also apply effects like slow motion, zoom, and dynamic motion tracking to specific subjects within the video. These AI-powered features will be located in a dedicated "presets" tab under the video timeline, separate from the standard editing tools.
Google is enhancing the mobile video editor in its Photos app for both Android and iOS, introducing new editing tools and AI-powered presets designed to simplify trimming and adjusting video clips.
For Android devices, new features include a "Speed" tool for creating slow-motion or sped-up videos, an "Auto enhance" button that optimizes color and stability, and an improved trimming tool for more precise footage edits. Additionally, the tools located beneath the video timeline are being reorganized for easier access to frequently used features like mute, enhance, stabilize, and export frame.
Additionally, Google has introduced new tools to make quick edits directly from the page. Here’s what’s new in the video editor for Android devices:

Google has announced that these updates are beginning to roll out today, though they may take some time to reach all devices.
