Most of us have wondered many a times after seeing the icon of 5G+ in our smartphones.

How is this different from the normal 5G icon, how is this affecting the handset performance, what does this means to us, etc?

This is generally nothing but a very common technology in Telecom Network and known as 'Carrier Aggregation' or simply CA.

Carrier aggregation is used in order to increase the carrier bandwidth, and thereby increasing the bitrate of the carrier we are using. This simply means to us as higher download and upload speeds. quick download of those Netflix movies and series.

Carrier aggregation is the foundation for a better 4G and 5G. an effective tool to extend the coverage and capacity.

If we take example of India, here one operator have N28 and N78 as 5G bands in which they are offering 5G services. they also offer CA services where N28 and N78 combine together to offer higher bit rate, increased capacity and better coverage. when this is active, icon shows 5G+.

Have you also noticed this in your handsets? What difference you observed?

Pls do like and post your further queries in the comment section.
