HONOR’s Comeback: A Game Changer for the Indian Market?

HONOR's return to the Indian market is more than just a comeback; it's a statement. With a lineup that includes flagship competitors like the  MAGIC Series, they're poised to challenge established titans such as Samsung's S Series. The success of this venture hinges on their strategic plans and the buzz they generate.

Don't worry, we'll dive straight into the review of the newly launched HONOR X9b based on my personal experience. Let's break it down into key categories:
Design, Battery, Performance, Camera, and Pricing.
         Design-
HONOR has always excelled in design. I first experienced this with the Honor 8 Smart, which featured an impressive boxy design, cube-shaped camera, and a responsive fingerprint sensor. The Honor 9 Lite followed, bringing a glass build and the fastest fingerprint sensor in its segment at the time.

The new HONOR X9B lives up to expectations with its cool camera module and vegan leather finish, especially in the special edition. The curved display feels as smooth as butter, perhaps because it's my first time using a curved display. The color accuracy is top-notch, which is a boon for editors.Image
        Battery

Battery life has seen a significant upgrade. Gone are the days of being tethered to an extension cord. Now, even if you forget your charger, the HONOR X9B can last at least two days. I can't comment on the charging speed as I didn't purchase the adapter and wire separately.Image
             Performance
Performance is solid, if not outstanding. It's sufficient for daily tasks and moderate gaming. Hardcore gamers might find it lacking, but for average users who enjoy video making, editing, and all-day surfing, it's more than adequate.Image
            Camera
The camera excels at capturing architectural photos, which I believe photographers will appreciate. However, human photo processing could be improved, and the absence of 4K 60 FPS recording and slow-motion support is a drawback, likely due to chipset limitations.Image
            Pricing
HONOR is competitive in pricing. Had they priced their devices this well initially, they could have staged one of the most powerful comebacks in the smartphone industry. As an old fan, I hope their resurgence doesn’t end like Nokia’s. With a better plan and team, they have the potential for sustained success.Image
          Final Thoughts
One disappointment is the absence of a charger in the box. Including it would have been a nice touch. The user interface is improving with many fixes, promising a better experience in the future.

Despite these minor setbacks, I remain optimistic about HONOR’s future releases. If you've made it this far, thank you for reading and stay tuned for more reviews.
